Caramel Banana bread
I love this banana bread. It smells very good! Fluffy and nice "caramelly" sweet aroma makes me happy.
- all purpose or pastry flour (200g, shifted)
- baking powder (1 tsp)
- butter (1/2 cup)
- sugar ( white, granulated) (50g)
- water (1 tsp)
- brown sugar (50g)
- egg (1, beaten)
- ripen, blacken Banana (2, chopped)
How to Prepare
In a small sauce pan,
make caramel with white sugar on the medium heat.
All sugar melted and turning to brown, put all chopped banana into caramel and turn the heat off.
Preheat oven 360 degrees.
Whip melted butter until it gets little fluffy, add brown sugar.Mix well with whipper.
Combine butter mixture with flour and baking powder using spatula.
Probably, it is little dry at this point.
Now, stir in banana caramel.
Pour into greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Bake in the preheated oven about 40~45 min.
Test with tooth pick if the center of the loaf come out clean.
