Prepare the butter by melting it on the stove. Spread some of the butter and flour in the madeleine mold and let it chill in the refrigerator.
In a bowl, mix the egg and sugar until creamy. Mix in the carrot paste little by little.
Sift the flour and baking soda, then mix into the bowl as well.
Add the melted butter, mix well, then let sit in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Put the dough in the molds. Be careful not to add too much or the cookies will bulge.
Heat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius and bake for 20 minutes. (The cookies aren't done until an inserted stick comes out clean.)
