There’s lots of flavor packed into the batter, so no need for any dipping sauce! Get creative by mixing in different veggies with the chicken or seasonings into the batter!
- Chicken breast (sasami) (300g (4-5 sasami))
- Onion, grated (2 Tbsp)
- Mayonnaise (1 Tbsp)
- Salt (a pinch)
- ■ Vegetables for nugget (Feel free to try different ones)
- Spinach, boiled and chopped (2 Tbsp)
- Carrot, minced (2 Tbsp)
- ■ Batter/Coating
- Flour (5 Tbsp)
- Worcestershire sauce (1 Tbsp)
- Ketchup (1 Tbsp)
- Water (5 Tbsp)
- Vegetable or Olive oil for frying (As needed)
(Prep) Put ingredients for batter into a bowl or tray and mix well.
Remove the white line running down the sasami meat if present. Using a chopping knife, finely mince chicken. In a bowl, mix meat, mayo, salt, and vegetables
If you have a food processor, you can easily mince and mix the chicken together in there.
Heat oil over medium (to 180C/350F).
Form nuggets with the meat mixture and coat with batter. Fry in oil for about 3 minutes, turning over each nugget a few times during cooking.
You can make all kinds of flavors by substituting different ingredients and batter seasonings. For example, try adding curry powder or black pepper into the batter!
