Chinese Traditional Mapo Dofu
Chinese Traditional Mapo dofu! My Chinese homestay family taught their original recipe. You can add more Doubanjiang if you like!
- Tofu (2-3 small pacs)
- Pork (100g)
- Ginger (several slices)
- Garlic (1 piece)
- Doubanjiang (Chinese chili seasoning) (1-2 tbsp)
- Chicken stock cube (1 )
- water (120cc)
- Sake (2 tbsp)
- Suger (1 tbsp)
- Miso (2 tbsp)
- Corn starch (1 tbsp)
- Vinegar (1 tbsp)
Prepare ingredients. Its depend on you but I recommend to use silken dofu or firm tofu.
These are main seasoning.
If you have sesami oil, please use it! Sesami oil is the best seasoning for Chinese dishes.
Cut Tofu into cube.
Heat a pan with oil, ginger and garlic. Brown the pork in a pan.
Add main seasoning in the Step 2. Then add corn starch with water, vinegar and Tofu. Cook over 4-5 minutes on a medium flame.
Now you made it, don't forget to take a Cooksnap photo to upload below! Recipe authors always LOVE to hear from you and see how their recipe turned out in your kitchen.
