DAIKON Radish Salad
Raw Daikon Radish helps digest oils and proteins, also treats your sore throat and hangover. Its good for you. I try eat Daikon for digestion when I have such as Tenpura, Shabu-Shabu, Yakiniku or Tonkatsu. I used canned Tuna this time, but you can use imitation crab meat instead. Here's my recipe. * If you can't find DAIKON radish at store, you can use sweet turnip. it's taste similar.
- DAIKON Radish (1/2)
- canned Tuna or Imitation crab meat (1)
- Dried bonito flakes (handful)
- Nori seaweed strips (for topping)
- **PONZU Dressing**
- PONZU (60ml (1/4 US cup))
- ground white sesame seeds (1 tbsp)
- mayonaise (2 tsp)
Peel Daikon. Cut into thin rectangles, or fine stripe. Soak it in cold water till it crisp.(about 15 minutes)
In a small bottle or a container, Put dressing ingredients and put on a cap, then Shake it!
when Daikon is crispy, Drain the water, put Tuna and bonito flakes and Nori seaweed.
Pour Ponzu Dressing when you eat.
I like PONZU, but you can try your favorite dressing on!
