Grilled Mackerel with Grated Onion Sauce
Among the many good things, onion is also good for masking fishy smells in fish and so is a great match for cooking mackerel! Also grating the onion increase nutrition! Yum yum and be more healthy!
- mackerel (4 pieces)
- onion (1/2)
- soy sauce (1 tbsp or more)
- garlic (1)
- olive oil
How to Prepare
Sprinkle the salt on the mackerel. Add olive oil to a frying pan on a medium heat and once the oil is hot shallow fry the mackerel.
While the mackerel is cooking, grate the onion and garlic into a bowl with the soy sauce and mix together well.
When one side of the mackerel has cooked (3-5 min), turn and fry the other side on the same heat for a further 3-5 min.
When the mackerel has browned nicely and is golden and crispy, add the onion sauce to the mackerel and cook for few min. And they're ready to eat!
Before eating, you could garnish the mackerel with some chopped green radish :)
