Homemade Chock-Full-Of Energy Bars
Inspired by several recipes from around the interwebs, my homemade energy bars are (somewhat) healthy and (absolutely) delicious and come together so quickly! These give a great burst of energy since they are stuffed with nutritious oats, seeds, nuts, and even a kick of caffeine! Make a bunch and pack one each morning for your breakfast, or take them on a road trip!
- Ripe Bananas (2)
- Rolled Oats (2 cups)
- Flour (1/4 cup)
- Chocolate Bar (1 )
- Honey (1/4 cup)
- Peanut Butter (1/2 cup)
- Cocoa Powder (2 tbsp)
- Pumpkin Seeds (4 tbsp)
- Almond Slices (1/4 cup)
- Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
- Espresso Powder (1 tbsp)
- Sea Salt (1/4 tsp)
Gather up all your ingredients!
Chop up your chocolate bar (use any you like), and mash up you two bananas.
Add in all the remaining ingredients into a large bowl, and mix mix mix!
Grease a glass baking pan, and then press your mixture evenly into the pan. Bake at 350F (~175C) for about 20 to 25 minutes.
Let the bars cool completely, and then cut into any shape you like! The great thing about these bars is that you can substitute or change them up any way you'd like. You can also easily make the organic/gluten free by substituting these ingredients.
Now you made it, don't forget to take a Cooksnap photo to upload below! Recipe authors always LOVE to hear from you and see how their recipe turned out in your kitchen.
