Maggi Goreng is a popular instant noodle dish commonly served at Indian Muslim stalls in Singapore and Malaysia. Instant noodles can be substituted with yellow egg noodles.
- Dark Soy Sauce (1 tbsp)
- Light Soy Sauce (1/2 tbsp)
- Curry Powder (1 tbsp)
- Ketchup (2 tbsp)
- Salt and Sugar (to taste)
- Maggi Noodles (1 packet)
- Chilli Powder (1 tbsp)
- Egg (1)
- Garlic (chopped) (1 clove)
- Onion (thinly sliced) (Half)
Prepare sauce mix.
Clockwise from top:
Dark soy sauce, ketchup, salt, sugar, curry powder, light soy sauce.
Cook Maggi noodles and leave it in cold water to blanch.
Heat up the pan with cooking oil. Fry garlic and onions till fragrant. (Add shallots if you want)
Fry noodles with chilli powder and a bit of chilli sauce.
Mix the prepared sauce with noodles and top it off with a sunny side up.
Add stir fried potato cubes and cucumber slices on the side with a blob of ketchup for a more authentic feel.
