Really Really Simple Banana Icecream
A healthy creamy banana icecream treat for people with a sweet tooth! This recipe is so simple that you probably wouldn't even believe it. A food processor works best but a blender will work just as well. I used a blender which was slightly more difficult but it worked!
- Pretty Ripe Large Bananas (4 pieces)
Peel banana and slice away the overly ripe portions of the banana.
Cut bananas into 1/2 inch slices. Please don't skip this step or you'll have trouble with them in the blender. (I froze the whole banana and had to use a chopper to break up the banana so that I can blend it.)
Place the banana slices on a plate, make sure they don't touch each other. (or they are going to stick). Freeze banana slices in fridge overnight.
Put all the frozen banana slices in the processor.
Blend till smooth. Took me about 5 minutes which included scraping down and blending them together.
Serve cold! Feel free to serve with chocolate sauce, nuts, rainbow sprinkle toppings.
Tip: You can try refreezing the blended banana soft serve ice cream for a night. Let the re-frozen mix defrost a little before serving the next day. Texture of ice cream becomes almost exactly like those store bought milky icecream.
