I learnt this recipe from my room mate when I lived in NY. He learnt this from an old Japanese lady in NY. With this easy recipe, you can make cheap beef into good taste.
- flank steak (500g)
- soy sauce (1/2 cup)
- sake (1/3 cup)
- water (1/4 cup)
- sliced garlic (2-3 slice as you like)
- salt and pepper (some)
Put all soy sauce, sake and water into a large pot and boil.
Knead salt and pepper into the flank steak. If the steak is too big, roll it by binding with tight string.
Grill the steak on a pan as you like. I prefer medium rare.
Put the grilled steak into the pot prepared in the first step and heat it for 5-6 minutes.
Stop heating and wait for a night.
Now you made it, don't forget to take a Cooksnap photo to upload below! Recipe authors always LOVE to hear from you and see how their recipe turned out in your kitchen.
