Spice Crust Salmon
I heard Garam Masala works well with fish so I tried it out on some salmon - here's the result! It goes well with a sweet-sour side dish like mango salsa.
- Salmon Fillet (1)
- Sesame Seeds (2 tbsp)
- Garam Masala (2 tbsp)
- Peanut Oil (2 tbsp)
- Salt (half tbsp)
Mix the Garam Masala, salt, oil and sesame seeds together.
Coat the salmon fillet well, using a spoon to press the seeds into the fish. Put in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Heat some peanut oil over a medium flame - don't make it too hot otherwise the sesame seeds will burn. Let the fish cook on one side until opaque almost all the way through...
...then flip it and cook for another 2 ~ 3 minutes. Don't touch the fish too much during cooking, just let it do its thing. Serve with something cooling like a mango or cucumber salsa.
