Melissa Montoya Mine turned out light brown instead of green :( Are we supposed to put a lot of brown sugar, and so little green tea powder?? it tasted mostly like brown sugar...

  • Da Washoku Kitchen

Da Washoku Kitchen I'm sorry your cookies turned brown. Green tea MATCHA powder is easy to deteriorate with light, heat (over 100 degree),humidity and time... you can change quantities if you want to.

Mason McClusky Do you use sweetened Matcha powder or UNsweetened Matcha powder?

    6年弱 前
  • Da Washoku Kitchen

Da Washoku Kitchen Konichiwa! Plese use unsweetened matcha powder. I use 'Green tea Matcha powder for baking' which includes chlorella powder.
It helps to make it looks very green.

  • Mason McClusky

Mason McClusky Could you use just regular matcha powder or does it have to be "for baking"?

    6年弱 前
  • Da Washoku Kitchen

Da Washoku Kitchen Of course regular matha powder is perfect!!! I'm using 'for baking' one because it won't turn out light-brown color. Regular one could be changed color sometimes.(It depends on quality. I think.) but regular one is just great.

  • Mason McClusky

Mason McClusky Yeah, I just made them with regular Matcha powder. They don't look as good as yours, but they sure do taste great.
